Good afternoon!
Thank once again for you responses to the Green Grid Consultation. This consultation is now closed. We had over 5000 responses across a range of topics - from placing your pins and commenting on the map to diving deeper into biodiversity.
Your responses will now be sent across to GeoData at The University of Southampton and we hope to get detail from this analysis in the summer. We will of course direct you to the information when we have it, please watch this space!
Thanks again for your time to complete the consultation . Please get in touch if you have any questions, by emailing: greencity@southampton.gov.uk
Best wishes,
The Greener City Team
Note: Our friends over at the Southampton Park City Project have lots of ways you can get involved at https://southampton-national-park.com/ as well as asking you to complete their short questionnaire here .
Thank you for all the comments and feedback so far!
This consultation has highlighted many opportunities for us and we will be working on the data with our friends over in Geodata at the University of Southampton. We hope to be able to follow up with respondents in early summer.
We also thought now would be a great opportunity to highlight a keen green Freemantle resident who has worked to create a great space outside the community centre, making an green feature from space that would have laid possibly unused and unloved for a while to come! Thank you and well done!
You may have seen some work going on with the grassroots community group Southampton National Parks City Project. We hope to work closely with them in the future and ask that if you have a few moments to complete their questionnaire that recently opened here: https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/PS3RDHB
